Laquan was released in May 2021 to serve his remaining time in transitional housing. With little luck finding a job, he turned to the NEW Reentry Council. The organization helped him sign up for pre-employment classes while working with him to find a suitable job.
With the support of NEW Reentry, Laquan completed the pre-employment class, found a job, and purchased the tools needed for work.
Laquan says, “I’m grateful to have a job and for all the help NEW Reentry gave me.”
