Ricky was in need of housing assistance following his 2018 release from incarceration. Through one of its housing partners, the New Reentry Council staff provided a place for him to live.
Determined to become successful, Ricky enrolled in the OIC SOAR program. He obtained a certificate in job training skills and earned Customer Service & Sales Rise-Up and forklift driving certifications. In May, Ricky began working at Case Farms.
Now that he has a steady job, Ricky is working towards his next goals: to obtain his driver license within the next six months, purchase a vehicle within eight months, and obtain his own housing within a year.
