OUR SERVICES

NEW Reentry Council provides referral assistance and comprehensive case management supportive service assistance for enrolled program participants. The program seeks to enroll high-risk and high-need persons with criminal histories living in Nash, Edgecombe, or Wilson counties. Supportive service assistance is provided based on individual client need, and primarily involves employment, transportation, and housing-related support. Areas of support include:  

  • Assistance with purchasing work clothing, tools, equipment, or hygiene items; education and vocational training support, including tuition assistance or the purchase of school supplies.

  • Transportation assistance for job searches, interviews, work or class.

  • Emergency rental assistance.

  • Comprehensive case management, including, but not limited to, risk/needs assessment, job search assistance, financial planning/budgeting, and referral services to address a range of other needs.

HOW TO GET ASSISTANCE

Clients with an appointment are seen before walk-ins. To make an appointment, call your county's office Monday or Wednesday between 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

You can also request an appointment by completing and submitting the "NEW Reentry Council Customer Interest Form."
