Shyheem was released in mid-2021 with no place to go. Homeless and desperate to find a stable place to live, he contacted the NEW Reentry Council for help.
NEW Reentry helped him find stable transitional housing. With the team’s job-search and interview coaching, within a few weeks, Shyheem had landed a full-time job.
With a baby on the way, he is determined to work hard and live up to his own expectations of what a man should be. His short-term goal is permanent housing and the purchase of a vehicle.
